Diversity, Inclusion,
Equity & Belonging

We believe when everyone is included, anything is possible.

Deepening our commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging is essential to our mission of building an economy that works for everyone. We are working to create a culture that inspires people to do the best work of their careers. Embracing the diverse backgrounds, abilities, and perspectives that make up PayPal makes us better. When we live our values of inclusion, innovation, collaboration, and wellness, we all belong—and anything is possible.

The value we each bring based on our individual characteristics and traits. It’s who we are.

The feeling of security and support when there is a sense of acceptance, inclusion, and identity.

Our commitment to respect, appreciate, and value the diversity amongst us. Inclusion requires action.

Our established strategies, policies and practices that minimize barriers in the workplace.

How We're Getting There

Inclusion is a core value of our business and helps drive our mission to democratize financial services. We are committed to cultivating an environment where employees and customers feel valued and supported.

We strive to attract, develop, retain, and invest in a diverse global workforce.

We Champion Inclusion

Across PayPal’s global workforce, we focus on reinforcing our values to help every one of our employees feel a sense of pride and belonging. From engaging diverse talent through implementing development and retention initiatives, we’re committed to nurturing a culture where everyone belongs, encourages personal growth, treats everyone fairly, and promotes workforce wellness.

We support initiatives such as the Veteran Jobs Mission, AfroTech, Lesbians Who Tech Summit, and Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement, which serve as invaluable channels to meet and attract today’s top global talent. Once we’ve welcomed an employee to PayPal, we work hard to provide our global community with opportunities for lifelong learning. Employees are encouraged to access thousands of LinkedIn Learning courses, career development workshops focused on internal mobility and women in leadership, and PayPal’s Technology Leadership and Emerging Leader programs. To ensure our teams have all the tools they need to grow, we’ve invested in resources for managers to lead productive and inclusive teams, including the new Equitable Leadership learning experiences.

For five consecutive years, we’ve achieved 100% global gender pay equity and U.S. ethnic pay equity, and we remain committed to advancing equity at every level.
